Chanda here. I heard about The Yellow Deli from a friend who had visited one of their other locations. He raved about their food and how everything was organic and made from scratch. I was skeptical because I don’t trust people’s judgment on food easily, but I decided to try it.
What’s interesting about this place is its hours and location. They’re located in the small town of Pulaski, Tn, and are open 24/5 from noon Sunday – 3 pm Friday. The restaurant is a large converted Victorian-era house that sits on the corner of the main street. When you drive up, it looks like any other cute house in a small town, which I think adds to its charm.
When I went inside, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff that took me to my table. I felt chilly, so I needed some tea to warm me up. They had many hot drinks to choose from, so it was a little difficult to decide, but I chose a chai latte. It was delicious! The spices were perfectly blended and were topped with a nice layer of foam with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Getting a nice cup of chai can be difficult, but this hit the spot and warmed me up.
The menu is adorable!

While I sipped my latte, I waited anxiously for my food. They bake their own bread, so I was really looking forward to my sandwich. When I bit into my Reuben sandwich, I regretted not living closer to this place. The bread was the perfect thickness and not overly toasted. They added just the right amount of mayo and mustard on top of the thinly sliced sauerkraut, cheese, and a generous amount of corned beef. This was one of the best Reuben sandwiches I’ve ever had.

The second sandwich I had was their Country Ranch. Hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. This sandwich had chipotle ranch sauce and garlic mayo and wasn’t soggy. The chicken was tender and not overcooked, and although the sandwich was hot, the lettuce and tomatoes were relatively crisp. I loved it so much that I seriously considered ordering another one, but I decided to hold off a little to make room for dessert.

For dessert, I went with a carob brownie. I’m not a fan of carob, but this brownie could make me a believer. It was sweet and dense, and the carob chips added another layer of texture. I don’t know who the wizard behind this brownie was, but they put a spell on me.

I loved eating at this restaurant. It had such a cozy and old-timey atmosphere that made the dining experience more enjoyable. The food was well made, and I didn’t feel heavy after eating. All of their food is organic, homemade, and not fried. It was healthy and delicious, and you can’t beat that.

Your ordered Chai latte hot chocolate?? Or it was just Chai latte? I love chai lattes and a hot chocolate one sounds so good!
