The BEST Ramen in Osaka

We’re both addicted to food, but ramen is one of our top favorite things to eat. We knew we had to hit up the best ramen in Osaka so we headed to Zundoya in Shinsaibashi. Chanda is highly critical of well-reviewed places, so her expectations were high, but this ramen shop surpassed her expectations.

After writing our name on the waiting list we headed to the kiosk to choose our ramen. If you can’t speak Japnese you don’t have to worry because there are several language options on the menu.

Zenbunose Ramen

We both felt that while the Zenbunose ramen was good, but it had a little too much going on. The flavors felt like they were competing with each other and the spice was a little overpowering. Chanda thought it would have been more balanced with less pickled vegetables.

Ajitama Ramen

We both agreed that the Ajitama was the best ramen we’ve ever had. The broth was incredibly rich and the noodles were firm and did not get soggy. Chanda isn’t a pork fan but even she was impressed by the tenderness of the pork. It was juicy and melted in your mouth like butter. We loved it so much we were both wondering if we could handle another bowl together but even though the portions weren’t large we left full.

If you are ever in Osaka don’t pass up a bowl of Zundoya Ramen.
