If you love to travel, then staying home under quarantine or not being able to visit other countries might feel like torture. It’s important for everyone to practice social distancing to flatten the curve, but it’s still possible to travel if you’re willing to brave the great outdoors.
Camping

If you live in America then this is easy to accomplish. America has 62 national parks and over 10,000 state parks which give you a lot of space to camp and different terrains and climate to choose from. Camping is a great way to relax and remove yourself from people and all of the stress you might be feeling. Just make sure that you have a map, flashlight, and other camping gear/supplies before you head out into the wilderness. If a tent is not your style then try renting a cabin. You will still get to experience the solitude of nature.
Hiking

Find an area that is mountainous or doesn’t have many people and go for a hike. It’s great exercise and it will give you something else to focus on. Once you reach the end of the trail or the top of the mountain all of your efforts will be paid off with an amazing view. Rest and take in the natural art of the world.
Kayaking or Canoeing

Kayaking and canoeing are other great activities that you can do. Not only can they be done alone, but they are also healthy for you, too. You may be sitting down but you will work the muscles in your core and upper body. It’s also an activity that you can do at your own pace. Find a spot that is challenging or more serene depending on your ability and what fits your needs. Let the water carry your worries away and find new views to soak in.
It’s a difficult time for many right now and if you’re feeling anxious or helpless then trying some of these outdoor activities might help you. Stay safe🙏
